Ah, declared in true Stud style. Almost artful, I would say.

To expect any less would be, ehem, underestimation.

Verdict: Stud!

Thank you everybody. Full happy you made me. Apparently this thing is quite a big deal. And I am not even trying to be nonchalant about it. I just did not imagine it would attract such widespread joy and such mucosa-tearing heartburn. Well, now I know it has.
Like I said to someone the other day, vindication.

Also, thanks Amma-Appa, for not making a big deal of it. S, for sticking by and for feeling happier than I did. And to Rani, who deserves more than half of this.

Shit, I LOVE making acceptance speeches. Now for that Oscar.

Congratulations....I am so proud of you!

Fabulous, little one. Fabulous. You give "multifaceted" a whole new elevation. What joy it will be to watch you become great. For that is the truth. Your fate, it is sealed.

to someone who was asking what the rhodes scholarship was -

it's the most prestigious award there is for graduate studies. oldest also. has a tradition of over a hundred years. it's akin to say, a Nobel for the student community. from india, only five are selected every year. they get to pursue their studies in Oxford, with all their expenditure covered by the scholarship.

i am so glad i saw this! congratulations monkey. i am just as happy as i am jealous.
